Research Field, Activities and Interests
My research lies at the intersection of development economics, gender, health, and education, with a particular focus on how social norms and public policy influence individual choices and well-being in low- and middle-income countries. I use applied methods including randomized controlled trials, natural experiments, and instrumental variable approaches, to identify causal relationships and generate policy-relevant insights. My recent projects explore themes including women’s empowerment, the impact of educational expansion on human capital outcomes, and behavioral nudges in health decision-making. In addition to empirical research, I am actively engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge economics with health and gender, and I am committed to producing research that informs inclusive and evidence-based policy.
