From October 2018 the Graduate School of Economics is introducing a double degree doctoral program in collaboration with the College of Social Sciences at the University of Glasgow, targeting the fields of business and economic history.
Students who enroll in this program receive research supervision and guidance from both universities, spending two years at Kyoto University and two years at the University of Glasgow. Over the course of the program students produce a single doctoral thesis and the student will be awarded a PhD in Economics from Kyoto University and a PhD in Economic and Social History from Glasgow University.
